In my first semester at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HSLU), I’m supposed to try out the three big techniques in animation (traditional 2D animation, CGI and Stopmotion) in order to specialize myself in one of those three fields.
In the last three weeks, I worked in a team with two classmates on a stop-motion film. We crafted everything on our own (Preproduction, Story, Lighting, Camera and Postproduction). Here are some insights in the progress:
It was fun to build all the props and I’ve learned a lot in those dense three weeks. But the best part of this module was, that I’m sure now, that I don’t want to focus on stop-motion in my studies at HSLU.
